I was expecting the lyrics to be about Doremy, but they’re actually about Reisen (see the I have gazed through lunatic eyes part). Also, the title sounds the same as 暗中模索 (anchuu mosaku – ‘groping in the dark’), except the character 中 is replaced with 宙 (‘universe/space’). I went with ‘deep space’ because I think it conveys the intended image better than ‘dark space.’

utsushi yo wa yume no tsuzuki sono mata saki no genjitsu

This world is but the continuation of a dream – it is the reality that exists beyond.
In the flesh, I commit a suicidal act before I am eaten away by the nightmares…

sore wa sore wa fushigi na
uchuu to iu na no yume
hontou ni miteru no wa
onore no naka no kyoufu?
haigo ni michi wa aredo
mae ni shika susumenai
iie wo eranda tote
towa ni kurikaesu nara

How very, very curious it is –
That dream, which we call the universe.
Is it really the fear inside me
That I’m looking at right now?
Though there are paths behind me,
I can only press onwards.
Even if I answer ‘no,’
I will go in circles forever. If so…

doko ni mo nai kotae no sara ni mashiteku akumu
tsuzuki mo owari mo naku tabe tsukushite kure
kakera wo atsumete kyoumu he to shinka shitemo
tsunagaru saki mamorinuku nasubeki koto ga aru

There are no answers anywhere, and the nightmares just keep increasing.
They are without continuation or end – please, eat them all up!
Even if the fragments come together and evolve into a mad dream,
I will hold onto the end of this rope. There is something I must accomplish.

yume ga gugen kasuru nara koko wa rakuen no hazu de
nani mo kawaranai keshiki ni tsugou no ii hanashi nante nai

If my dreams are realized, then this place should be heaven.
In this unchanging landscape, such convenient talk does not exist.

tatoebanashi wo shimasu
kono yume ga fushizen ni
youi sareta mono demo
dareka no mochimono demo
soredemo itsuka sameru
matsu dake wa kirai na no
kaian wo kakenukero
tsuki no miyako ni todoke

I’m speaking of something similar to this:
What if this dream was unnaturally
Prepared by someone,
Or what if it belonged to someone else?
Even if it’s like that, I’ll wake up someday.
I can’t stand just sitting here and waiting!
I will break through this land of dreams, (1)
And reach the Lunar Capital!

yume ja nai nanika ga atama no naka ni dake
sonzai shita toshita nara, tsumari kore wa yume?
wakaranai ima wa mou
kegareta chijou ni somaru kyouki no me wo sukashite
mieta mirai wa doko?

Say there was something that isn’t a dream
That existed only in my mind… would you say it’s a dream?
I don’t understand. Now, already,
I have gazed through lunatic eyes, stained by an impure world.
Where is the future I could see?

doko ni mo nai kotae no sara ni mashiteku akumu
tsuzuki mo owari mo naku tabe tsukushite kure
wakaranai ima wa mou
kegareta chijou ni somaru kyouki no me wo sukashite
mieta mirai wa doko?

There are no answers anywhere, and the nightmares just keep increasing.
They are without continuation or end – please, eat them all up!
I don’t understand. Now, already,
I have gazed through lunatic eyes, stained by an impure world.
Where is the future I could see?

(1) The original phrase 槐安 (‘kaian’) refers to a traditional tale – a lot like Alice in Wonderland – in which a man falls asleep at the base of a tree, and is whisked off to a distant kingdom. The phrase is commonly used to refer to transient things, or dreams, as a metaphor.

Finally my favourite from the album! \O/
Isn’t “Kaian” (槐安) a reference to the Dream of Kaian mentioned in Doremy’s dialogues?

I read that it was a metaphor for transience, as well as for dreams in general. I didn’t make the connection with Doremy’s dialogue >_< I'll add a note or something…
