I’m not quite sure what the secret is in this one. Unless the ‘secret’ is that Reimu is protecting Marisa from evil monsters while she sleeps, or something.

By the way, in most RD tracks, whenever the singer starts singing ‘la la la,’ it generally means that some form of gruesome violence is taking place [see (I’m gonna eat you up!) for an example]. I’m… pretty sure it’s more innocent this time, though.

Or is it…?

Hey, it’s okay. I’m not bothered
If people speak to me about their dreams or nightmares.

You grumbled that you couldn’t sleep alone, especially during such a thick night.

Hey, don’t bother me while I’m trying to sleep
And then fall asleep before I do!

Because it makes me feel like I’ve been left alone in the darkness.

I wonder if it’s easier to fly across the sky to some place far away…

During such a thick night
I can feel the helplessness of being alone.

I’m at a loss.
“Us.” Hah, it’s so-

Light shines upon us
And it forms shadows.

They all seem
To crowd around us…

And
I will continue to float forever, alone,
In the darkness that I will never sink into.

Please…
Don’t turn off the lights.

I listen to you as you snore.
I am idle. It is as if I am drifting about…

At some point, our heartbeats must have come together.
I strain my ears and listen to those regular sounds.

During such a thick night
I can’t see the stars alone.

I am aimless.
“Us.” Hah, it’s so-

Now, I use just
The certainty of our two bodies as my guide.

Gently, little by little,
I draw closer to you. Closer…

And
Together,
We gently ride our warmth towards the lake of dreams.

Only I know
This feeling…

I sometimes panic
And I sometimes feel afraid.
But as for all those feelings…

I hold them inside me. I hold them alone, gently…

And
I’ll take enough dreams for two people
In the darkness that I will someday sink into

I turn off the lights

And I gaze at the stars – your face next to mine.

    Ahhh~wonderful melody and lycrics,beautiful booklet…
(Looks like Reimu is afraid of the dark but does not show it,but given “the darkness that i will someday sink into”,it does not make much sense huh)

Maybe she’s just being dramatic. It’s like she’s stayed up really late, and doesn’t even know if she’ll be able to get to sleep before the morning comes…

Ohhh, this song quite interesting and beautiful
…I wonder if those ‘shadows’ from lyrics are somehow connected with ‘shadows’ from Kirisame Everision e A e
Thank you very much for translation anyway! I really like this album

      You’re welcome 🙂
You could almost say that ‘shadows’ are another theme of the album! The little details in the booklet are cool, too – like, if you look at the bottom-right hand corner of the window in the right picture, you can see shadowy hands trying to break in…
More shadows. It’s a good thing we have Reimu here to protect us >_>
