This song seems to be about a personal journey, though some parts suggest that the speaker isn’t the only one undertaking it.

matataki mo wasureru hodo ni ima wo hashiri nuketakute
erande tsukanda hikari wo kokoro e
katachi nai taiyou no you ni mabushiku ari tsudzukeyou
hanatta omoi wo subete kakaete

My desire to run is strong I forget to blink
And I send the light I chose toward my heart.
So it will remain radiant, like a formless sun.
It carries all the hopes I sent its way.

oi kakeru to kiete shimau
sono senaka wa dare nan darou
furikaeru koto mo naku fushizen ni
wasureta koro fui ni mata awareru no

When I chase after that person, they disappear.
I wonder who they are?
They don’t turn back. How unnatural.
The moment I forget about them, they reappear.

(mahiru no sora)
yume no fuchi ni tatasare motome tsudzukete iku
mada minu sekai to ano kage wo
(samenai mama)
jiyuu ni odorasarete miushinatta kibou
atsumete tori modoshite iku
tabi no tochuu

(The midday sky.)
Helped to my feet in the abyss of a dream, I’ll continue to search
For a world I haven’t seen yet, and for that figure.
(I can’t wake up.)
Made to dance freely, I lost sight of my hopes.
I’m going to collect them and take them back
During my journey.

yuganda daichi wo sotto fumi shimete suwari konda
kanashiku itoshiku sugi satta jikan
mirai ni nokosu yakusoku tadori tsuite shimattara
tomoshita hikari wa ikiba wo nakusu

I gently trod upon the distorted ground and then sat down.
The time that passed by was so sad, yet so lovely…
Promises, bequeathed to the future. If I arrive,
Then the light I lit will lose its destination.

toosugiru hata wo misue
nani ni obiete iru ndarou
koeru beki mono ga mada ikutsu mo
chirabatte wa koko e modotte kuru noni

We stare at an all-too-distant flag.
What are we scared of?
There are still so many things we must overcome,
Though we scatter and return here, time and time again.

(sakebu you na)
ooki na kane ga natte chikara wo kometa ashi
kono mama tobira wo tobi dasou
(nari hatameku)
yamanai kaze ga yagate boku wo noseru darou
kanjita omoi no mama ni susumeru you ni

(Like a scream,)
The grand bell peals, and with strength in my legs,
I’ll rush out the door, just like this!
(Echoing…)
Soon, the endless wind will carry me
So I may go wherever the emotions I felt will take me.

yume no fuchi ni tatasare motome tsudzukete iku
imada minu sekai to ano kage wo
